Good quality sod, super thick, looks great and grows great. Doesn't have any weeds and it really does look good.One con, very minor, not all the sod strips were cut straight so laying them was a little challenging in a few spots, but overall it was cut well. Highly recommend their grass!

Good value if you are a repeat customer as they offer great early season discounts and loyalty reward discounts. Soils have been clean have had great results; mulch has been shredded well, each to shovel and spread. Drivers are exceptional! Very helpful in placing bags. Punctual timing on deliveries.

I do not have a green bone in my body and killed my grass last year by over watering. I called Zander Sod to order their Big Yellow Bag, grass seed, fertilizer, etc,, and to get some info on what to do and how to do it. We'll, Jasmine was the most patient and helpful person I have ever dealt with. She was so pleasant for the entire 30 minutes of her time that I took and I cannot express just how much I appreciated her time, the discussion, her questions to guide my choices, even knowing that the area I need to fix is a small 200 square foot townhouse backyard, so the sale was small compared to most others. How much sod do I need?

To calculate the amount of sod you need to order, measure the length and width of your area in feet, metres, or yards and provide us with that measurement when filling out a quote, calling in an order, or visiting our sod farm.

Should I order extra sod?

We recommend that homeowners order up to 10% extra sod, to take into consideration the shape of your property, trees, and obstructions that could impact your measurements.

How do I get my sod?

You have three options:

We can deliver the sod directly to your home or job site.
You can pick up your sod directly from our sod farm.
You can pick up rolls from our office in King, Ontario.

Given that sod is a perishable product, we recommend that you always confirm your pick up with our staff prior to visiting. Whether we deliver or you pick it up, the sod needs to be laid as soon as it reaches your location, followed by an immediate watering.

How far in advance do I need to order my sod?

We recommend calling 48 hours prior to your ideal sod delivery or pickup date. Zander sod is open for delivery or pickup Monday through Friday.

How big is a roll of sod and how much does it weigh?

Our rolls are 24″ wide by 54″ long and will cover 9 square feet. Each roll weighs approximately 40lbs to 50lbs depending on the moisture content. Each of our skids holds 80 rolls that will cover up to 720 square feet. Each skid will weigh between 3,200lbs and 4,000lbs.
